Every couple faces difficulties at some point in their relationship.
Whether these difficulties are triggered by events such as starting to live together, getting married, the birth of a child, infertility, illness/bereavement of extended family or friend or stress and anxiety relating to work and financial issues, many couples find it difficult to talk to each other about how they really feel. In time this can lead to constant arguing which if left unattended can encourage dissatisfaction with the relationship and eventually a parting of the ways.
As a couples therapist I will provide a safe and non-judgemental space for you to gain an understanding of each other’s feelings and reactions. Through the provision of tools and practice based upon an integrative therapeutic model uniquely tailored to each couple, I will help you to learn to engage in effective problem solving within your relationship and to experience difference in a healthier more productive way.
Couples therapy is often short-term. You may need only a few sessions to help you weather a crisis. If your relationship has deteriorated over some time however you may wish to come for longer.
