‘When we take away the rational mind, judging what is right or wrong for us, we open ourselves to the power of nature and its natural healing flow’.
Reiki, an ancient energy healing tradition founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century originates from two Japanese words:
‘Rei’ meaning spiritual wisdom and ‘Ki’ meaning energy. Referred to in other cultures as ‘chi’, ‘prana’, or ‘spirit’, it is the life force that exists in all things, the ‘universal life energy’.
The practice of Reiki is the art of channeling this universal life energy, to promote spiritual, mental, and physical wellbeing.
Reiki recognising the interconnectedness and sacredness of ones self and all of life, opens the mind and spirit to the causes of disease, disharmony and pain. Directing the natural flow of energy to build up the individual’s energy resources, Reiki operates by opening, stimulating and re-establishing balance in the body’s energy channels giving health, wellbeing and balance well after treatment finishes.
Individuals are empowered to recognize their true potential and to take responsibility for their life, experiencing the peace, love and joy of a balanced existence.
Regular and repeated use of Reiki may provide relief from emotional issues associated with trauma, anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, relationship difficulties, menopause, insomnia, energy deficiency and over-activity.
Reiki may also be used for the purpose of deep relaxation, personal development and spiritual unfoldment
You may not know what is best for you, but your body certainly does.
*Reiki is not a substitute for medical treatment. It often works as an excellent complimentary therapy to existing medical care
